Welcome to a brand new episode of Ian’s Untitled Scene Show! It’s another packed episode as I welcome the trio of Tyler, Mike, and Dan of another one of my favorite bands out there right now, WHISKYGIRL!

It’s time for a conversation with WHISKYGIRL! Mike, Tyler, and Dan take us through the band's origin, their ever-changing sound, CHRYSALIS, and so much more! You’ll have a lot of fun with this one, so get to listening!

Note: Some random sounds and cutoffs occur due to recording over the web/equipment issues. That’s just how these things go sometimes 🤘

HourHouse - Ian's Untitled Scene Show

Welcome to a brand new episode of Ian’s Untitled Scene Show! This episode is a party because I welcome guitarist and vocalist Nick ‘Neeco’ Trahan, drummer Robb Barrio, bassist Travvy Thomas, and guitarist Mattie Cortopassi of New Orlean’s HourHouse!

HourHouse is a newer genre-bending band to me, but I’m thrilled I got to hear their new album, ‘Gold Tooth Guru,’ that just came out recently through UNFD (that means you should check it out, too)! We talk about the new album, New Orleans, and have one of the most fun and confusing debates I’ve ever had on the show! Hahaha.

It’s a lot of fun getting to know HourHouse, and you won’t want to miss it 🤘

Note: this recording was performed using a brand-new audio setup, so there were some audio issues (primarily because of the conferencing software). I did my best to smooth everything out. I hope you still enjoy it 🤘

There’s a lot to go over, some great nostalgia, and a lot of fun, so get listening!

Welcome to a brand new episode of Ian’s Untitled Scene Show! In this episode, I catch up with another of my favorite bands from past shows, Rain City Dive (formally known as SLAVES)!

In the room for this conversation, I have:

Matt McAndrew - Vocals | Colin Vieria - Bass | Felipe Sanchez - Guitar | Zachary Baker - Drums

Recorded backstage at Emo’s in Austin, Texas, before their show on the Memphis May Fire tour. The guys talk about the current tour, their new self-titled album, and much more.

Note: since this is recorded backstage, there will be some background noise and some mic switching low audio. It just goes with the territory, haha. Around the 9:40-ish minute mark, Matt McAndrew (lead vocalist) joins the conversation.

The Plot In You - Landon Tewers - Ian Hates Music #226

The Plot In You - Landon Tewers - Ian Hates Music #226

It’s a very cool episode of Ian Hates Conversations: Music Edition as Landon Tewers joins Ian in the Ian Hates “Studio”! (There’s a lot of ‘Ian’ in that sentence and I apologize).

At the time of this recording, Landon is finishing up his solo tour co-headlining with Ghost Atlas. If you’re not familiar with Landon Tewers, he has his solo work, projects like Ai640, writing and producing bands, AND he’s the lead vocalist of The Plot In You. Oh yeah, he’s also one of the most talented and versatile vocalists out there!

Let’s not give too much away in the description of the episode though. Ian and Landon talk in person about everything going on in Landon’s life, new tours, new music, and possible plans for the future.

Ian will normally remove background and strange noises from conversation episodes, but it didn’t feel necessary for this since it’s just two people face to face in the same room. Hope you enjoy!

Doyle - Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein - Ian Hates Music #216

Doyle - Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein - Ian Hates Music #216

It’s 2019 and what better way to start the year than with an absolute legend in the business? On this episode of Ian Hates Conversations: Music Edition, Ian welcomes the great Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein of the band Doyle to the show!

It’s been quite a year for Doyle as he’s currently finishing up a 75 date leg of the ‘AS WE DIE Abomination Tour’, and that’s only part of the full tour! In 2013, Doyle put out their debut album ‘Abominator’ and recently in 2017, Doyle put out their sophomore album ‘Doyle II: As We Die’. Since then, Doyle has been touring nonstop.

Ian got the opportunity to catch up with the ex-Misfits legendary guitarist on a conference number before a recent show, so it’s shorter than a “normal” Ian Hates interview, but Doyle opens up to Ian about being on tour, the pitfalls of the music industry and streaming services, American concert-goers not living up to the hype, and a lot more!

Just like with his music, Doyle doesn’t hold back and you need to hear what he has to say. If you’re a Misfits fan and/or a horror metal/horror punk fan and you don’t know the band Doyle, get on it because you’re missing out!

Getting to speak, even for a short while, with someone like Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein is something Ian won’t soon forget. He doesn’t throw the word “legend” around lightly and that’s what Doyle is, a legend.

Make sure to support Doyle by following the links below:

Huge thanks to Doyle for taking time out of his busy schedule to come on the show. He’s extremely busy on the massive ‘AS WE DIE World Abomination Tour’, so make sure you look up his dates and go support him live!
