AI Is A Weapon (Just Kidding, We Love Our Future Master) Feat. Jake of Pyro, Ohio - Ian's Untitled Scene Show

AI Is A Weapon (Just Kidding, We Love Our Future Master) Feat. Jake of Pyro, Ohio - Ian's Untitled Scene Show

🎙️ Ian’s Untitled Scene Show is back with another episode that’s 100% AI-generated... just kidding (or are we? 👀). Jake Ohio (of Pyro, Ohio) returns to help Ian dissect the wild world of the scene—because who needs peace when you’ve got scene drama!?!?

This week, the I Prevail saga continues with what might actually be their best song ever (we’re just as shocked as you are 😳). Then it’s on to Falling In Reverse teaming up with Marilyn Manson—from Violent Nature to God Is A Weapon…we’ve got you covered from all angles!🎤

We also take a deep dive into FIR's new VIP package... and by "deep dive" we mean “look at the price and laugh.” 💸
Next up: the AI art debate gets spicy, and Ice Nine Kills may or may not be launching a cryptic marketing scheme—will the cult-like simps and stans fall for it? We’re not sure... 🔪🧠

Thankfully, the punk community is doing its part to keep us sane (bless you all), and we wrap it up with a review of the divisive powerhouse that is Senna’s new album, Stranger To Love. 🎧💔

Scene drama, conspiracies, expensive selfies, and killer tunes—what more could you ask for? This is one of the “I Told You So” episodes of IUSS, so enjoy 🤘

Uninspired In Arcadia Feat. Vessel (Jake) of Pyro, Ohio - Ian's Untitled Scene Show

Uninspired In Arcadia Feat. Vessel (Jake) of Pyro, Ohio - Ian's Untitled Scene Show

🎙️ Welcome back to Ian's Untitled Scene Show! 🎙️

Has Vessel awoken from the Sleep Dimension to join Ian? Or is that just Jake Ohio of Pyro, Ohio in a hoodie and a mood? 🤔 Who can tell?! Either way, strap in—it's time for the only open, honest (and gloriously sarcastic) track-by-track breakdown of the generation-defining (yep, we said it) fourth album from everyone's favorite sonic NyQuil: Even In Arcadia by the ever-so-"innovative" Sleep Token. 😴💤

Ian and Vessel (or Jake, who knows anymore) are back, and they’re not bowing to anyone—not to Big Scene, not to The Algorithm, and definitely not to a band who thinks emotional ambiance is a personality. 🔥💀

But wait—don’t sleep just yet. To shake off the post-Arcadia haze, the guys dive into actually interesting new albums and EPs from Ghost Chant, NERV, Monument of a Memory, You Win Again Gravity, and The Bunny The Bear 🎧🐰🐻. There’s also fresh scene news, live show talk, and the thrilling un-hanging of Ian’s Warped Tour cliffhanger. 🏕️🤘

The gates of Arcadia have opened…
Are you bored enough to walk through?

To Warped or Not to Warped: That Is the Question, Part 1 Feat. Jake of Pyro, Ohio - Ian's Untitled Scene Show

🤘 Welcome back to Ian’s Untitled Scene Show! 🎸

Strap in, scene kids — we’re back with the most scene-tastic guest of them all, Jake Ohio of Pyro, Ohio! 🤘 This episode is pure nostalgia, chaos, and Warped Tour glory, because (sort of) — Warped is BACK, baby! 🎪🔥

There’s so much madness to unpack that we couldn’t fit it all into one episode — so welcome to Part 1! Jake and Ian trade battle stories from years of surviving Warped: Jake from playing stages under the blazing sun, and Ian from dodging crowd surfers while snapping pics and doing interviews. 🎤📸

And because we’re all about multitasking, we also throw down a review of Lost Souls’ new album Lore, plus a breakdown of Poppy’s recent live show in Austin that melted some backing tracks. 🎶💀

We’re not giving everything away in the summary — hit play and listen scene like your Vans depend on it! 🤘🎸

Lives Lost - Tanis Pellegrini Returns - Ian's Untitled Scene Show

🎙️🤘 Welcome back to Ian’s Untitled Scene Show! 🤘🔥
It’s that time of year again — The Annual Tanis Takeover? Pellegrini-palooza? We’re workshopping the name, but one thing’s for sure: Tanis Pellegrini of Lives Lost is back in the hot seat!

And the timing? Chef’s kiss. The brand new Lives Lost EP, Home, drops THIS FRIDAY — April 25th!

🏠🔥

We dive deep into Home, but like any good scene hangout, the conversation spirals into some seriously great territory: the “evolution” of post-hardcore, scene dynamics, guest features, and all the chaos in between. It’s raw, honest, and full of moments that’ll make you want to listen again.

This one’s practically begging for a Part 2 — but don’t let us spoil the magic.
🎧 Hit play and come hang with us! 🎧

🤘 Welcome back to Ian’s Untitled Scene Show! 🤘

🎙️🔥 Strap in for a no-holds-barred scene breakdown with none other than Jake Whalen of Pyro, Ohio! 🔥

Just like the promo image, we’re blue-skying everything—from the scene itself to the lives of Jake and Ian. This one’s a wild mix of randomness and real talk, loaded with passionate music convo. We get into Lives Lost, Classic Jack, fallfiftyfeet, Offended By Everything, and even a little Poppy.

There’s awesome EP talk, alcohol, growing up in the scene, and the kind of honest, chaotic scene weirdness only Ian and Jake can bring.🎙️

Label Library: Fearless Feat. Jake of Pyro, Ohio - Ian's Untitled Scene Show

🤘 Welcome back to Ian’s Untitled Scene Show! 🤘

Guess who’s back? That’s right—Pyro, Ohio representative and friend of the show Jake Whalen returns as we continue our absolutely serious, deeply academic exploration of legendary scene labels. This time, we're diving into the one and only Fearless Records—because of course we are.

Packed with some of Ian’s favorite releases (read: emotional bangers and breakdowns that still “slap”, as the kids say), Jake and Ian unpack the glory days of Fearless. Naturally, we had to talk about the Punk Goes series—aka the magical mixtapes that introduced Ian to top 40 hits years after everyone else had already moved on.

Then, just when you thought it couldn’t get more opinionated, we hit pause for a (long) quick review of Underoath’s new album The Place After This One. Is it a bold rebirth or just more polished, mid-tier noise? We’re not saying it’s bad... but we’re also definitely saying something.

🤘 Turn it up, tune in, and prepare to roll your eyes in the best way possible 🤘

Please Make It Make Sense (ADTR) Feat. Jake of Pyro, Ohio - Ian's Untitled Scene Show

🤘 Welcome back to Ian’s Untitled Scene Show! 🤘

🎙️🔥 Strap in for a no-holds-barred scene music review with none other than Jake Whalen of Pyro, Ohio! 🔥

Ahh, shit, here we go again!

A Day To Remember just dropped their eighth studio album and—just like that intro track—we’ve gotta say: ADTR... please, make it make sense. 🫠

For a band considered legendary in the scene, they sure didn’t make it easy. Jake and Ian pushed through multiple listens to bring you a brutally honest, track-by-track breakdown. And yeah... it was rough. Like, really rough. 😅

But hey, what better way to bounce back from that audio endurance test than to swap some dating stories? And don’t worry—it kinda ties into music. Sort of…

Hip To Be Scarred (By This Music) Feat. Jake of Pyro, Ohio - Ian's Untitled Scene Show

🤘 Welcome back to Ian’s Untitled Scene Show! 🤘

🎙️🔥 It’s time for Scene Stuff with Jake Whalen of Pyro, Ohio — where the screams are real, but the opinions are even louder. 🔥🎙️

Jake rises once again from the ashes to join Ian for a spirited séance covering all things scene. Topics include: Whitechapel’s latest slab of heaviness, Spiritbox continuing to haunt generic djent, and the possibility of Tool facing legal action for crimes against excitement. (Allegedly. Don’t sue us. Or do. We could use the press.)

But the Final Girl of this episode? A deep dive, face-first, into the three blood-soaked albums that reshaped the destiny of Ice Nine Kills. Jake and Ian hack into Every Trick In The Book, The Silver Scream, and Welcome to Horrorwood: The Silver Scream 2 — exploring how these cinematic scream-fests catapulted the band from the Warped Tour pit to the horror-metal throne.

Why did this twisted transformation work? What makes it click with fans, but not quite with this show? Can puns kill? (Yes. And painfully)

Plenty of jokes, a body count of references, and more spine-tingling satire to come. Stick around — we’ll be right back…

(That’s a reference. Roll credits.)

In this special episode, Jake and Ian discuss some shows they’ve been to recently and then focus on the music of Jonny Craig. They hit on all his previous bands to his present project (Old Flame), and then dive deep into his impact on the scene with his bands and the immense amount of features he’s recorded over the years. Let’s not give away everything here, but obviously, since this is typically an interview show, the title couldn’t be “featuring Jonny Craig,” since he’s not actually on the show right now. Hollow Front - Tyler Tate - Ian's Untitled Scene Show

Hollow Front - Tyler Tate - Ian's Untitled Scene Show

Welcome to a brand new episode of Ian’s Untitled Scene Show! In this episode, my special guest is Tyler Tate of Hollow Front!

It wouldn’t give Hollow Front enough credit to say they’ve had a tough couple of years. From a significant van accident to a resulting lawsuit and multiple members leaving the band, Tyler and Hollow Front have not had an easy go of it. But Hollow Front has persevered and perhaps released their best album in ‘The Fear Of Letting Go’ through UNFD Records!

Tyler, one of the two remaining members of Hollow Front and the lead vocalist, talks about everything Hollow Front, the new album, the scene, and what he sees in the future. This is an open conversation I think you’ll all enjoy and learn from 🤘

VRSTY - Joey Varela Returns - Ian's Untitled Scene Show

VRSTY - Joey Varela Returns - Ian's Untitled Scene Show

Welcome to a brand new episode of Ian’s Untitled Scene Show! In this episode, my special guest is a friend of the show and talented sob, Joey Varela of VRSTY!

It's an exciting time for Joey and VRSTY as their sophomore full-length album 'Levitate' just came out via Spinefarm Records! I had just caught up with Joey on the For The Fallen Dreams and Monuments tour, so we talk about touring; we deep dive into ‘Levitate’ in a way you won’t hear anywhere else and even talk about some Alice In Borderland and Squid Game!

Note: Some audio issues were not audible while recording, but I tried to minimize any issues. Thank you for understanding. Also, if you do not want to hear any story details from Alice In Borderland or Squid Game, skip from 01:05:28 to 01:20:38 to finish the episode.
